Walk the Talk: East Lake Station Area Tour and Design Workshop November 18

In late September we kicked off the Make East Lake MARTA Yours process, then followed it up with a day of commuter interviews. Now it’s time to explore the on-the-ground details that define our project area, then work those findings into meaningful design scenarios.

Join us Saturday, November 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for an expansive Walking Tour and Design Workshop where we’ll move beyond input collection and get down to business. Here’s the breakdown of events for the day:

Walking Audit | 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

  • Meet at the East Lake MARTA Station on the north parking lot.
  • The consultant team will lead groups on a tour of the area to understand the existing street conditions and to discuss opportunities to improve the streets (see map below).
  • Revolution Doughnuts and Coffee served while supplies last.
  • This is a 2.1-mile walk. Please dress accordingly.
  • The Walking Audit will conclude at East Lake MARTA’s south parking lot (Note: This route has changed since originally planned).
  • Help us plan accordingly. Please RSVP if you’re interested in attending:
