South Columbia Multi-Use Path Design Options Ready for Review
Last October, interested Decatur residents attended a preliminary open house and shared their thoughts on the final phase of the multi-use path connecting Talley Street Upper Elementary with the East Decatur Greenway. The segment in question extends the path from its current end at Legacy Park’s north entrance south to Katie Kerr Drive.
Design recommendations based on that input are now ready for your review.

Residents, commuters, College Heights ECLC parents, and others are encouraged to join us, Wednesday, Nov. 8, between 6-8pm for an open house conversation on proposed S. McDonough Street traffic calming. The gathering takes place in the cafeteria of the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center.

Draft of Coventry Road Traffic Calming Recommendations Now Read for Public Review

Neighbors, commuters and others concerned about traffic safety on Coventry Road from Scott Blvd. west to the city limits gathered in July to review and share feedback on traffic data and potential roadway interventions. That feedback has now been incorporated into designs for public review.

Revised Design Released for Great Lakes Intersection
Earlier this summer, Decatur Public Works staff held an on-site meeting with Great Lakes neighbors where proposed design improvements for the intersection of Huron and Champlain Streets were presented for resident input. Beyond previously recommended improvements like a narrowed entry to Champlain Street, a new crosswalk and ADA-compliant ramps, and bioretention for stormwater, residents may now notice a number of additional modifications based on the feedback received...
